Iconix Terms of use

The iPhone and iPad app Iconix (“the app”) is published by Claudiu Tigaroi (“I”, “me”), an individual developer based in Romania, in the European Union. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add the details below. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies.

• iPhone and iPad don't let one app change the icons of other apps. Iconix doesn't change them. It makes the icons, the wallpaper and the widgets, saves the images to Photos or Files, and guides you through Apple's Shortcuts app.
• For each app, you make a shortcut that opens the app, give it your icon, and add it to your Home Screen. The original app stays installed. You can keep its icon in the App Library.
• A shortcut doesn't show the app's notification badges. The Shortcuts app and the Home Screen belong to Apple, and how they behave can change with system updates.

AI themes are made on your device: with Apple's on-device model where Apple Intelligence is available and turned on, and with a generator built into the app elsewhere. Results depend on what you type and on your device, so two themes from the same words can differ. You see a preview before you save or apply anything.

With no purchase:

• 4 themes, each with matching icons, a wallpaper and widgets, to apply and customize
• the icon and theme editor with all 1,190 glyphs in 6 styles, with 1 saved custom theme
• up to 3 AI theme previews a day
• the Date and Clock widgets
• the guided install with Shortcuts

Iconix Pro adds:

• all 42 themes
• unlimited custom themes
• AI themes: save and apply them
• every widget: Calendar, Photo, Note and Countdown, besides Date and Clock

• Payment. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. With the free trial, Apple charges when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
• Free trial. 3 days, on the yearly plan only, for new subscribers. Apple decides eligibility. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Automatic renewal. The yearly and monthly plans renew automatically at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel. Any time, in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone and iPad. You keep Iconix Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Price changes. If a price changes, Apple tells you before it applies, as its rules require.
• Refunds. Apple handles refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Restore. Restore Purchases is on the purchase screen and in the app's Settings.
• Lifetime with an active subscription. If you buy Lifetime while a yearly or monthly subscription is active, cancel the subscription in Settings so it doesn't renew.

Iconix 2.0 is an update of the same app, so purchases from Iconix 1.0 (2020) still count:

• Lifetime: you keep Iconix Pro, with nothing to do.
• A monthly or weekly subscription that is still active: it keeps unlocking Iconix Pro for as long as it renews. The weekly plan is no longer offered to new subscribers.

If Pro doesn't show, tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.

• Use the icons, wallpapers and widgets on your own devices.
• Don't use the app to copy other people's logos or trademarks in a way that breaks their rights.
• Don't use it for anything unlawful, and don't try to copy, reverse-engineer or resell it except as the Standard EULA or the law allows.

Themes you make and photos you add stay on your device unless you share them, and I don't receive them. The app, its built-in themes, wallpapers, widgets, texts and design are mine and are licensed to you under the Standard EULA.

The icon glyphs come from Phosphor Icons, used under the MIT License, with brand logos left out. The app contains no logos of other companies.

I improve the app over time, and features can change. If these terms change, I'll post the new version here with a new date. Changes don't affect a purchase you already made.

The Standard EULA covers warranty disclaimers and limits of liability. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your country that can't be limited by contract.
